Join us for open game play! Bring your Fountaindale Public Library card and Minecraft account information if you have them. We have a limited number of guest accounts that you can use. Grades 3–12
Minecraft is open to all players in grades 3–12. There is no registration, and you don’t even need a library card (though it is recommended to bring one).
We have a limited number of Minecraft guest accounts that you can use on our computers. Please note, guest accounts are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, console and mobile accounts won’t work on our computers.
Paid Minecraft accounts can be purchased online at minecraft.net/en-us/store/, or at most major retailers in the form of a gift card. These both typically retail for $26.95, and they are a one-time purchase. Once you have the card, you can go to account.mojang.com/register and redeem your code there. Let us know if you have any questions.
You can arrive and leave at anytime from 3 to 5 p.m., but your session will automatically end at 5 p.m. You can continue playing in the Computer Commons, Vortex or Computer Park after Minecraft Club is over, but you will need your library card and your own Minecraft account.
You won’t be able to join our local game from a laptop, so we recommend you use one of our computers.
As long as no one is waiting you can play until the end of the session. If someone is waiting, players who were first to start will be asked to give up their seats once they’ve reached 45 minutes of playtime. If you are bumped, you’re welcome to sign back in if a computers opens up. You can also use the computers in the Vortex and Computer Commons to play.
We will have Minecraft guest accounts available for you to use in Children’s Services and the Vortex on Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Just ask, and we’ll get you set up!
